ERP Puirchaser, Beware the Yes Man - Blog by Pete Hucker (featured in the image)

I’m a full time dedicated Xledger Consultant with prior experience of client side ERP implementations. I understand listening to client needs and ambitions is integral to successful implementation. One of my biggest frustrations as a Finance Manager has been the amount of time wasted on low value, repetitive tasks. At Xledger, my favorite thing is helping my clients achieve tangible time-savings, giving them freedom to spend more time on things that really matter.

Experience

Previous experience as an Integrations Manager for a Multinational PLC overseeing numerous software implementations and integrations plus a successful track record in delivering to tight timescales and demonstrating flexibility in tailored projects to meet specific business requirements.

I have worked as a Group Finance Manager which meant implementing new accounting systems, delivering 50% reductions in month-end processing completion times.

I qualified as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants during my time with Ernest Young.  I gained insights into the processes and controls appropriate to diverse companies from owner-managed businesses to Multinational PLCs.

Qualifications

I’m a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and hold a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter.

XLedger Fact

I live near Bristol with my wife and daughter Lilly and like to push myself on my bike by riding to work each day – it is good exercise! My favourite adage is – ‘efficiency is doing things right while effectiveness is doing the right things.’
